A small, weathered stone garden bench sits beneath a flowering dogwood tree, its pale petals scattered like confetti across the seat and moss-softened flagstones below. In the background, a simple wooden fence encloses a quiet backyard garden filled with lush ferns and soft grasses. Late afternoon golden light filters through the branches, casting dappled, moving shadows over the bench and ground. Photographic realism with an eye-level composition and shallow depth of field keeps the bench in crisp focus while the foliage melts into a gentle blur, creating a serene, contemplative mood that suggests a safe place for reflection and emotional healing.

About me

My name is Raisa, and I created Where Peace Took Root from a deeply personal place-one shaped by life as it truly is through the ups, the mids, and the lows.

I haven’t lived a life untouched by challenge. I’ve experienced moments that stretched me, softened me, and asked me to grow in ways I didn’t always felt ready for. But through it all, one thing remained constant, I never gave up on myself. Even in the quietest and most uncertain seasons, there was always a small part of me choosing to stay, to learn, and to keep going.

For a long time, I thought peace was something I had to chase or earn. I thought it lived in external validation, in keeping everything together, in being what others needed me to be. But overtime, I began to understand that real peace is something you build from within. By learning to trust yourself again, by honoring your boundaries, and by choosing yourself without guilt.

Where Peace Took Root is a reflection of that journey.

This podcast is a gentle, honest space for anyone who is learning how to come back to themselves. it’s not about having all the answers. it’s about asking the right questions, sitting with your truth, and allowing yourself to grow at your own pace. Through my reflections, i hope to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and reminded that choosing peace doesn’t mean losing who you are; it means finding your way back.

Because peace isn’t something you find once and keep forever.

It’s something you nurture, protect, and choose again and again.

And this is where it begins.

Welcome to Where Peace Took Root Where Peace Took Root Podcast

Welcome to where peace took root–a reflective audio space for rebuilding self-trust, honoring your boundaries, and choosing peace without losing yourself. This is not a podcast about dramatic healing. It’s about the quiet work that happens after disappointment, the silence, the clarity, and the steady return to yourself. Over 7 mini-episodes, we’ll explore what it means to trust yourself again, set boundaries without guilt, and love without self-abandonment.
